Bittersweet...
Well we have been gearing up for the first day of Kindergarten for sometime now. Ryker has been so excited he could hardly stand it. We have shopped till we dropped and Now the day has arrived. SO here I am trying to be positive and not turn into a complete BAWL BAG, at least not anymore. (that was last night, heehee)Russell and I talked about how the time has really flown by and about how great our journey has already been.
Ryker was so excited he was already awake when I went in his room to wake him up, I said "How did you wake up by yourself?" and he said "It was just a little bit daylight." I had told him that it was going to be dark when I would come to wake him up, so he was worried if the sun was up that he would miss school.
Of course he picked out some pretty funny transformer shoes that light up, he has been begging to wear them. Had to show them to the camera, he loves them.
I have to say that I think that he is so handsome! So proud of him. He has not said anything negative about going to school, he has been sooooo excited.
Well, Ryker has been wanting to comb his own hair lately and he insists that the front be straight up in the air. We had to get a haircut because I was afraid that he wasn't going to fit through the door way anymore! Love that! Soooo Handsome!
Russell had to take him to his classroom alone because I was not going to risk turning into the Bawler again, lol. Ryker thought that I was sad because "Daddy has to go to work", I tried not to let him know that I am sad that he is "Mr. Independent". That's okay, He has grown up so fast and I'm excited to know that he is ready! Bitter sweet day.

Holy cow! I don't think I'll be able to make it when Liza goes to kindergarten.
Love it! He is gonna have a million little girls chasing after him. The fact that his hair has to be straight up cracks me up too! I love all his cute clothes and shoes he has! What a lil stud!
Erin! I saw your link on Aubrey's page and was so glad I checked it out. Your kiddos are getting so big!! Kindergarten?! I also survived my first week of teaching 2nd graders. It was fun and exhausting. Love to your family--
